AT&T’s website was overwhelmed with unexpected demand and AT&T Suspendded iPhone 4 Pre-orders online

Share we got the news that apple, AT&T and Radio Shack were to accept iPhone 4 pre-orders from July 15th, but unfortunately AT&T website started malfunctioning due to the over demand than expected and had suspended iPhone 4 pre-orders on Wednesday, it was just a day after AT&T’s website was overwhelmed with unexpected demand from people over iphone 4 to get hands on it and The unexpected traffic made the procedure postponed and triggered a glitch ...

we got the news that apple, AT&T and Radio Shack were to accept iPhone 4 pre-orders from July 15th, but unfortunately AT&T website started malfunctioning due to the over demand than expected and had suspended iPhone 4 pre-orders on Wednesday, it was just a day after AT&T’s website was overwhelmed with unexpected demand from people over iphone 4 to get hands on it and The unexpected traffic made the procedure postponed and triggered a glitch in it’s system and that inadvertently exposed some customer’s information to other users so they were forced to suspend it.

According to the Apple , advanced sales of the iPhone 4 hit 600,000 Tuesday but that the strong demand resulted in “many order and approval system malfunctions.”

Gizmodo one of the top technology site has reported that they have found three cases in which users were able to see other people’s personal information when they tried to log in in to their account and AT&T said it had been “unable to replicate the issue, but the information displayed did not include call-detail records, Social Security numbers, or credit card information.” [via]
